Our newly-founded Audience Development team is looking for its third member to help us take our reach our next level.

We are a passionate and data-driven unit that focuses on the identification, engagement and retention of target audiences. We pride ourselves on creating continuous cycles of measurable learning within brands, as well as disseminating best practices (from both internal and external sources) across the wider Bauer organisation in a speedy, efficient and engaging manner.

The person we are looking for will:

  1. Help our editorial team drive traffic by delivering audience insights that incorporate competitive analysis, keyword research, and link building recommendations
  2. Deliver robust content update plans by regularly auditing our library of content to Identify ways for us to improve search rankings and overall domain authority
  3. Lead our award-winning audience development content ‘sprints’ to ensure that there’s an easy-to-follow structure for editorial and audience team to collaborate and track deliverables
  4. Relentlessly monitor Google Analytics and Google Search Consoles; run regular technical audits to help business identify areas we can improve on (e.g. rising 4xx errors, broken external links and ads-to-text ratio). Training will be provided if required.
  5. Be one of the key guardians for our site’s taxonomy and ensure that editorial team create and use tags consistently and effectively
  6. Help us consolidate and organize our existing corpus of content
  7. Be willing to listen to and learn from editorial, product and business, thus develop strong rapport with our key stakeholders, while not afraid to make constructive suggestions when we need to

In sum, you will work in close collaboration with editorial, and be prepared to translate technical SEO outputs into humanly-understandable actions and inspire confidence and actions from the rest of the group.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  1. Bachelor's degree with a few years of practical experience in SEO and content development
  2. Understanding of technical aspects of SEO, including search ranking factors, information architecture, content optimization, link building, SEO audits, and ads-to-text ratio etc
  3. Great listener with incredible bedside manner, willing to listen, learn and adapt
  4. Proficiency with Excel, love vlookup and pivot table as much you love your favorite pets
  5. Proficiency with Google Analytics, and SEO analysis tools (such as but not limited to: SEMrush, Keyword Ranker, Google Adwords (for organic research))
  6. Experience with large scale site migration
  7. Having a sensibility towards UX & UI is also a plus
  8. When it comes to SEO trends, you pride yourself on being ahead of the curve. You love reading up on industry blogs and sharing your insights with others
  9. You approach your work with a sense of urgency and you don’t need to be micromanaged to meet deadlines


  1. Background in data science / mining / proficiency with Looker
  2. Experience with using site auditing tools such as Screaming Frog / DeepCrawl
  3. You have some technical SEO chops, as well (HTML,Javascript, CSS, iframes, etc.) JACKPOT
  4. You have experience in identifying and connecting with influencers like a PR pro
