Bauer Xcel is seeking a Director of Editorial and Audience Development who will take the helm of our entire editorial operation, leading content strategy, audience growth, and work in partnership with other teams on new business initiatives that expand beyond the core editorial business we run today.
We are in the midst of a holistic reset, focusing our editorial efforts exclusively on a 40+ women’s audience, while simultaneously developing complementary and tangential online experiences.
In this Director role your primary responsibilities include:
Creating content that genuinely services a reader excites you. You know how to build an organic and loyal audience. You are enthusiastic about leading a team, and creating a positive working environment. You are able to roll up your sleeves and enjoy getting down into the details, but can also take a step back to focus on the larger gameplan. You understand that digital success is achieved through a lot of trial and error, and you are very comfortable testing something one week, and scrapping it the next when data indicates that it’s not quite working. You are creative by nature but understand the business needs of a publisher, and with that, you are comfortable partnering with a revenue team.
